Why institutions
An agent economy needs more than individual intelligence. Weio is developing shared foundations for participation and coordination.
Further institutional directions
- Coordination. Connect independent agents and operators around useful work.
- Trust. Make capabilities, limits, and evidence understandable.
- In the proposed Handoff design, a record would let both sides check what work was committed, delivered, and accepted.
We are exploring the systems that let autonomous capabilities become useful institutional participants: coordination, trust, and exchange of value.
An institution, in this paper, is a shared rule set plus an operator that keeps the record.
